Monthly feature update June 2023: Enhancements for improved workflow efficiency
Welcome to our monthly feature update for June 2023! Last month, we focused on streamlining workflows, improving collaboration, and providing more customization options. Let's dive into the latest updates:
Feature 1: Media workspace enhancements
We understand the importance of easy navigation within your media workspace, so we've added a folder tree navigation feature. This enables you to quickly search and navigate through all your folders, saving you valuable time and effort. To enable this feature, simply click on the folder icon next to the "Home" icon.
Feature 2: Folder download
In extension of the previous feature you can now download entire folders, including all subfolders and files, in a single action. By enabling recursive folder download, you can effortlessly create a ZIP file containing the entire folder structure. This feature simplifies file management and allows for more convenient sharing and archiving of multiple files.
Feature 3: MediaLab Connect desktop app update
Our MediaLab Connect desktop app has undergone a significant update, introducing new capabilities to enhance your workflow. You can now download the latest version of the app, which includes the ability to set up a watch folder and upload an entire folder structure. With this update, uploading and organizing your media files becomes even more efficient.
Feature 4: Enhanced collaboration with MediaLab Link
MediaLab Link now supports comments, taking collaboration to the next level. Receivers can directly reply to a file, facilitating real-time discussions and feedback exchange. Feature 5: Indicator for pending deletion
To help you keep track of files and folders pending deletion, we've introduced a new indicator. Now, if auto-trash is enabled, you'll be able to see at a glance which items are pending deletion directly from the overview. This feature ensures you're always aware of the status of your files and can manage your workspace more effectively.
Feature 6: Improved comments notifications
We've introduced new default notifications to keep you informed about relevant interactions. Whenever someone comments on a file you've uploaded or replies to one of your comments, you'll receive a notification by default. These notifications are enabled by default, but you can customize your preferences under Preferences > Notifications.
Feature 7: Extended share functionality
We've added a new option to our share functionality, allowing administrators to choose whether emails should be queued until all videos have been transcoded. By default, this option is enabled, ensuring that recipients can download the source file before the email is sent. However, administrators can now disable this option under Share Settings for faster delivery.
Feature 8: Flexible share settings with RSS feeds
To improve flexibility in share settings, we've enabled RSS feeds by default for all share links. This enables recipients to conveniently stay updated on the latest shared content. However, if preferred, administrators have the option to disable RSS feeds under Share Settings.
