Site Reliability Engineer / DevOps Engineer
MediaLab is a SaaS platform for distribution, viewing and storage of media assets.
We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer / DevOps colleague to join our team.
As Site Reliability Engineer you will be maintaining and further developing the on-premise/cloud infrastructure for the B2B MediaLab SaaS platform. You will work on varied projects for leading (international) companies within the TV and media industry.
Additionally, you will assist with the deployment and integration of our software suite (DevOps).
We are a small but professional team based in Amsterdam providing an enterprise-grade hosted software solution to our international customers. Since we are a small team, this job calls for a flexible mindset but provides a great amount of ownership and responsibility.

You will:
- Help build and maintain the MediaLab Hybrid Cloud platform;
- Improve our system architecture while balancing security, reliability, costs and performance;
- Implement and maintain intrusion detection, automated remediation and patch management systems;
- Implement and manage security best practices for on-prem and multi-cloud environment;
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment using Infrastructure as Code and pipelines;
- Resolve escalated support issues, while also identifying and resolving systemic issues across the platform;
- Increase observability into our system by capturing relevant metrics, performance data and logs;
- Use a security-first and privacy focused mindset to keep our customers data safe.
Your skills:
- Experience: 3+ years experience in SRE/DevOps/Cloud Infrastructure and being part of on-call rotations for production systems;
- Linux: Knowledge of Linux (AlmaLinux 9 preferred), familiarity with networking architecture (e.g. Load Balancing, TCP/IP, Routing) and administering Linux environments, including troubleshooting and shell-scripting (e.g. Bash);
- Azure/AWS: Experience in managing cloud deployments on AWS and/or Azure;
- Containerization & virtualization: Experience working with, or willing to learn, tools like Docker and Proxmox VE;
- Infrastructure as Code: Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (GitLab, Puppet);
- Architecture: Experience in designing multi-tenant software solutions, designing for failover, fault-tolerance, and disaster recovery is preferred;
- Understanding of PHP: know your way around PHP and Javascript is preferred. Advanced knowledge is a plus;
- Video transcoding: Experience with video transcoding is a plus;
- Dutch is a plus
