When looking back at 2020, we can conclude that it was a very turbulent year. Not just because of Covid, but also because a lot has changed within MediaLab this year. We worked hard on continually develop our tooling, welcomed new clients, new team members and achieved milestones. We would like to take you back to 2020 in this short recap of our Best 9, to show you what this year has brought MediaLab.

1. Team development

Our MediaLab Team has grown a lot since 2019, with multiple new additions in different departments. We have two new Business Development Managers, one for the DACH region; Anne Hufnagel and one for the Dutch Broadcast industry; Jaco Kirchjünger. A new Growth Marketer; Juliette Stroink, two new members of the development team; Wouter Borst and Vienna Meijer. To make the squad complete we also welcomed three new interns: Kas Roosch, Michelle Blom and Rowin Ruizendaal.

2. New Office

Still in our beloved Amsterdam, and not far from the previous address, we move into our new office! Even though we cannot be there now as much as we would like to, it is always welcoming and a nice place to work. Hogehilweg 19, 4th floor, 1101 CB Amsterdam, is where you can find us!

3. New branding

With extra UX and Marketing power, we took our Branding to the next level! The MediaLab pink is dominant in our communications and can be seen throughout the platform. We are continuously improving our MediaLab platform and even more nice things are coming up soon.

4. Social Media

Yes, we did it! Our LinkedIn page has reached 1000 followers this year. Next milestone: 2000 LinkedIn followers. Check out our LinkedIn page and follow us!

5. DACH region

With the new addition of Anne Hufnagel in our Sales Team, we now have a presence besides Amsterdam. From Cologne, she is our foothold in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and will represent MediaLab in the Broadcast & Media Industry.

For our clients, we created a special new add-on for easy and quick media sharing with the power of the MediaLab platform (transcoded videos and online playback). And we promise that your data is stored safely and truly removed after the expiry period elapses (maximum of 7 days). 7. Webinar

This year, we hosted multiple webinars on Media Management and Storing & Archiving, helping our clients to get the best out of our media management tooling. Keep an eye on our socials for the ones in 2021.

8. Partner at 24festival

Even though a lot of festivals and events were cancelled this year, some carried on digitally. One of the main events of the year in the Marketing & Advertising Industry was 24festival, with the MarketingLive congress and the Effie Awards. MediaLab partnered up with the organization during this event and contributed with the 24talk “Niet schreeuwen op een feestje”, by Hans de Heus and with Tim Duffels, Sr. Manager Creative @ Under Armour EMEA, about specific partnerships for video content production in order to reach their target audience. 9. Cooperation with ProgramBuyer

We topped of 2020 with joining forces with ProgramBuyer. We are looking forward to taking media transfer to the next level with our new cooperation with ProgramBuyer. ProgramBuyer is a smart UK-based B2B portal, where distributors and producers from all over the world can introduce their latest shows and upcoming programs to international commissioners and program buyers. Welcome 2021

Thus far, even with the Corona breaks on, we have had a very dynamic year and are looking forward to seeing what 2021 has in store for us.
