Keep Media Moving
MediaLab is a SaaS platform for distribution, viewing and storage of media assets, used by broadcasters, media producers, sports organizations and international brands. Think drone footage from a live event, raw camera files from a TV production, or source files well over 100GB, all moving through systems that need to handle them reliably. Every day, content viewed by millions of people moves through our systems, so reliability is a core requirement.
As a developer, you will maintain and extend the applications behind our B2B SaaS platform. The platform runs across AWS, Azure and hybrid environments, and we are not tied to a single cloud vendor.
We are a small but professional team based in Amsterdam, providing an enterprise-grade hosted software solution to international customers. Being a small team means this role calls for a flexible mindset, but it also means real ownership and responsibility over the parts of the platform you work on.
We believe people are capable of more than a checklist suggests. If you don't meet every requirement listed below but think you're a good fit, we encourage you to apply anyway.
You will
- Build and evolve features across the MediaLab SaaS platform, frontend and backend
- Participate in technical discussions and contribute to architectural decisions
- Work directly with customers or stakeholders to understand requirements and test implementations
- Review code and test merge requests from fellow developers
- Debug and troubleshoot production issues to keep the platform stable
- Improve reliability, scalability and maintainability of core systems
- Apply a security-first and privacy-focused mindset to keep customer data safe
- Explore AI-assisted media workflows, such as metadata extraction, face detection and automation
