When images are uploaded, MediaLab automatically checks the Exif data for available metadata fields. Depending on the metadata template configured for your Lab, certain fields can be populated automatically.

By default, MediaLab will attempt to read the following fields:

• ObjectName – Overrides the file title.
• Caption-Abstract – Populates the description field.
• CopyrightNotice – If mapped to the Attribution field, this will be filled with the copyright notice.
