Only Administrators can remove folders in MediaLab. Regular users and uploaders are not allowed to delete folders, even if they have been granted manage rights.

This restriction exists because folders may contain subfolders that the user cannot see or access. Since permissions can be assigned at all levels, allowing folder deletion could unintentionally remove content that the user isn’t aware of.

Example

• A user has manage rights for Customer X but no access to Customer Y.
• Both are subfolders under a parent folder named Customers.
• If the user could delete the Customers folder, it would also remove Customer Y, even though they had no visibility or rights to it.

To keep the system safe and straightforward, folder removal is reserved for Administrators only.
