User control flags define which features a regular user or uploader is allowed to access. By default, these roles have very limited access — many features such as sharing or downloading are disabled unless specifically enabled with flags.

Administrators can assign flags to fine-tune user capabilities.

Available Control Flags

• Share Grants the ability to share files via email, access embed codes, and share files on social media using the Theater page.
• Download Allows the user to download all available formats of a file, including the source file. Note: Even with download disabled, users could still capture content (e.g., screen recording). Disabling downloads mainly protects your high-quality source files.
• Manage folders Enables folder management features such as renaming folders and editing/moving/copying files. Applies only to folders the user has been granted access to.
• Create folders Allows the user to create new folders inside folders they already have access to.
• Invite to upload Allows the user to send upload invitations to external users.
