All incoming audio files are automatically processed by MediaLab’s transcoding system to ensure browser playback. Non-MP3 files are converted into MP3 format.

If the source file is already an MP3, it will not be transcoded.

During this process, MediaLab also scans the file for metadata such as artist, album, and track name.
