User levels in MediaLab
MediaLab provides several user levels to control access to core features. User levels define the baseline permissions for each account. For uploaders and regular users, additional access can be granted through user control flags (e.g., sharing, downloading).
User Levels
- Owner
- Same rights as Administrators.
- Additional access to subscription information and SSO-related security settings.
- Protected accounts that cannot be removed.
- Administrator
- Full access to the Lab.
- Can manage the folder structure, upload, share files, create users, and manage add-ons (Pull/Push).
- Media Manager
- Full access to all media in the Lab.
- Can manage folders, upload, and share files.
- Cannot manage users, groups, or Push/Pull profiles.
- Uploader
- Requires explicit folder access through user groups.
- Can browse assigned folders and upload files.
- Cannot edit or remove files unless given the Manage flag.
- User
- Requires explicit folder access through user groups.
- Can view files in assigned folders but cannot upload.
- Can be granted extra abilities (e.g., Share, Download) through control flags.
