Share emails are waiting for transcoding to complete
When sharing content, it's important to consider that transcoding can take some time, especially for larger files or complex formats. If you send a share email and the recipient tries to access the content immediately, they might encounter a message indicating that the file is still being processed. This is because MediaLab needs to convert the original file into formats that are compatible with various devices and browsers before making it available for viewing or downloading.
To avoid this issue, MediaLab will hold share emails until the transcoding process is complete. This ensures that recipients receive a fully processed file without any delays or errors. There may be cases where this behaviour is unwanted. In such scenarios, the email can be forced to be sent immediately, bypassing the transcoding hold. This can be done by selecting the "Force Send" option when going to Activity > Share> Personal links. This feature can also be disabled entirely by administrators through Settings > Share.
Force sending
- Go to Activity → Share → Personal Links.
- Find the email and press "Force send"
Disabling transcode hold
- Go to Settings → Share settings.
- Disable "Wait for transcode"
